So You Think You Can Dance???

So for my birthday my mom suprised me with tickets to see the top 12 perform in Salt Lake. I was so stinkin' excited when I got the tickets. I didn't care where the seats were. So we left early last Tuesday to come home and pack and get ready. We stopped and ate dinner before the show at the Cheesecake Factory (if you've never eaten there, I HIGHLY recommend it!) and of course didn't leave without having a large piece of cheesecake. I had a slice of dutch apple strueselle (can't spell) and it was amazing. Best dessert I have eaten in a VERY long time. Then it was off to the show. I thought that our seats were in the nose bleed section, so I didn't even bother taking my camera in. Then when we got in the building and got to where our seats were I was soooo ticked off that I didn't take my camera. We were on the FLOOR!!!!! And we could see really good. I was so depressed and upset for the twenty minutes before the show started. Then when the performance started I wasn't depressed anymore because it was so amazing. The dancers were so good and I cheered so loud. You'd think I was at a concert or something. It was alot of fun and I'm glad that my mom bought me the tickets. Then we stayed at my Aunt Susie's because we were getting up "early" to go to the Holy Cow boutique. For those of you who don't know what that is, let me give a brief run down as it was my first year... it is a huge craft sale in a building in Pleasant Grove. It is aisle's of all these homemade crafts that you can buy. And some delicious food and treats to take home also. There were alot of people with strollers and it was kinda annoying with the big bulgy one's, but I got over it. In the end, I spent WAY too much money, but it was alot of fun. I went with my Aunt's and a couple of their friends. We went to lunch at Cafe' Rio and then ended up splitting up and Susie, my mom and I went our merry way and did a little more shopping and then we all pooped out at Susie's house and ended our day with a drive home. I was soooo tired when we got home that I completely crashed and slept like a rock. But if any of you ever get a chance to see So You Think You Can Dance, eat at the Cheesecake Factory or go to the Holy Cow, please tell me if you are dissappointed because I was highly entertained and had a great time. I will not regret my experience one bit!

A Scary Weekend

For those of you who don't know, my brother Trevor was in a car accident on Saturday morning at about 1:00 AM. He was on his way home from taking his girlfriend, Katie, home from the homecoming dance. He remembers the road to my house and then waking up as he was going over the sidewalk on the opposite side of the road and taking out the fence and jerking the wheel to try and get back on the road, which didn't work and he slammed into the tree in front of Yogi Nielsen's house. It took the fire department an hour to cut him out of the truck. It was a bad wreck, but he is doing good. He is home, but he has three broken ribs, bleeding in his lungs, internal bleeding and a few cuts and bruises, but he looks really really good and is doing well. I will put some pictures of the truck and the fence he took out as soon as I figure out how to get them onto my laptop. Here are a couple of pictures from the hospital. A couple of friends brought him some teddy bears that he slept with during his stay at the hospital. I will update in a few days! So look for the post!! Love ya'll!!

New Job

I started a new job... it's hard and it kinda sucks at the moment, but I will probably like it after I get use to it and know what the heck I am doing. But so far it is good. I have a guy training me, which is a little awkward, but he's funny and so it makes up for the weirdness. He has to drive from Spanish Fork to Duchesne and stays the week and then goes home to his family on the weekends. Sucks for him. I just have to jump the fence unless I have to go to the office and then its all good. Anyway, I know this is short, but Trent is standing behind me trying to get me to go upstairs and get some food. So I guess I will be a nice wife and go find him something to eat. Ta Ta For Now!!!

A fresh start

I know that I have been slacking big time on writing an update on here. Alot has happened. Trent and I both quit our jobs within two weeks of each other, but we are okay. No worries... Trent is working for Brad's Oil Field and he loves it and I will be starting my new job on September 1st. I'm not exactly positive on what my job will entail so I will write details later.
And also since then, I have a NIECE!!! YAY!!! Finally! I love my nephews, but a girl will be fun. Andrew and I bonded while I was staying at Ben and Megans to try and help out. He became my new best friend and we played trains, and watched a movie and he chased me around the house trying to tickle me... ahh... good times. LOL! It was alot of fun and I'm glad that I got the chance to be there and help out. So my Niece, her name is Olivia Rose Marett and she is 20 1/2 inches long, brown hair, blue eyes, 7lbs 6 oz and is the most beautiful baby I have seen in a very long time. And she was born on August 17th at 10:49 am. Megan did a good job in labor, she was on some good drugs, so she was happy... lol and both Ben and Megan couldn't be happier with a boy and now a baby girl! Olivia has both of them wrapped around her tiny fingers since the minute she was born. And me... I couldn't be happier to be the aunt of their two adorable children. Unfortunatly I had to come home and work on some stuff at home, so I didn't get to stay as long as I wanted, but Trent wasn't able to go up, so we are hoping that before too long we can see them and Olivia can wrap Trent around her finger as well. I emailed pictures to him and he got online at grandma Park's and I was talking to him while he was doing so, and when he saw her he just couldn't stop saying how beautiful she was. I can't wait until we have children of our own and feel the love that he and I will have for them.

Slowing down??? ... maybe not

Well our last few weeks we thought were going to be a little calmer. We were wrong. Trent had a family reunion in Strawberry and it was great. We had a good time. We got to know some more of his family pretty well and just had a good time. Then on Monday... I went to the American Idol concert!!!! It was freaking fabulous and my mom, Christy, Emily and I had a great time. I left with a very large headache, but it was well worth it. Tuesday we went to Timberlane to set up camp for Young Womens. We had a very large army tent and it was fun for all the girls to sleep in one tent instead of being divided. So then I went to Girls camp on Wednesday to Friday and then went to come home early on Friday to leave for St. George and I had a flat tire... it was horrible and I ended up showing my 2 year old fit side. I threw EVERYTHING out of my trunk to get the spare tire out only to find out that the jack wasn't in there. So I sat down and cried. Then I called Trent and he said to just leave the stupid thing there and ride home with someone and while I was crying my phone went dead and then I got in Skye's truck and headed home. There was an accident on the road to home and so that made me a little nervous, but I didn't know that Trent was just as nervous because he thought it was me in the accident. So he was glad that I was home. Then I left for St. George and went to see Jen!!!! I miss her sooo much. She did an amazing job in the play and I am really proud of her. I also had the opportunity to go and see Les Miserable. It was really good, but it was soooooo stinkin hot that I hated to be sitting there in the outside theatre at Tuachan. 3 1/2 hours is a long time to sit in one place and die of heat. I was glad to get back to the hotel and freeze in the room. I got home on Sunday and was exhausted, but I haven't been able to catch up. Thank heavens that Trent and I both have tomorrow off so that maybe we can sleep in a little bit and catch up on laundry and cleaning. But I am most excited for Friday when we are going on a double date with Greg and Skye! They are pretty much our closest friends. We love them to death.

Sorry this was a boring read, but I don't have a lot of time today to write anything. I will write more later.

A busy couple of weeks

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't had much time to get on here and post. We've had a really long couple of weeks. Last weekend we went to my Bird family reunion and it was really great to get to see everyone again. I realized how much I miss my uncles! And I got to see my aunt Jackie so that was sweet. That family has grown alot and it was good to spend time with all of them. Trent and I played a vigorous round of this weird game that I am trying to remember the name of, but it's slipping my mind. Anyway, it is two polls with three different colored poles going down. And you have this ball thing that you have to throw and try to wrap around the poles. Of course I kicked Trent's butt!! (Trent's sitting next to me and says, "She thinks!") It was alot of fun though. I then played with my little bro. Michael... Needless to say, I won! My other bro's played horseshoes and I decided that it couldn't possibly be that hard to get one of those stupid shoes around a pole... boy was I wrong! I sucked! At the very end of my game with a couple of my bro's I got closer to it. It's hard!!! They were all really good and Trent played a few rounds with them as well. We sat around the camp fire that night and played the game "signs". It was a lot of fun too. We played for like four hours and just had a great time spending the weekend with that part of my family.

Then there was this weekend, which we are still trying to recover from. My Grandpa Bird and my Uncle Jeff and Aunt Sophie and then some of my cousins all race in the Mud Bogs. It was up in Evanston Wyoming, so not too far from us. We drove up Saturday afternoon and then spent the rest of the evening at the fairgrounds cheering for our family. Trent got roped into timing the racers, which I think he thought was alot more fun that sitting in the bleachers. He got an up close and personal look at the cars as they zoomed by. He had fun and had a little bonding time with my Step Mom, Karlee and my Bro Jay.
I got to spend some quality time with Jay's friend that is a girl (not to be confused with a girlfriend) named Dori. She's cute and we had a good ole' time. Grandpa Bird took 3rd place in one of the races and Uncle Jeff took 3rd in one and a 2nd in another. There were way too many categories for me to remember which they raced in. Superstock, Modified and 2 Wheel are the one's that I can remember, but I don't know which one's they for sure ran in... But I was really proud of them. Especially proud of my Grandpa Jack (Jake... LOL!! long story) he did really really great and he is still a youngin' at heart! Love ya Grandpa!

So needless to say we got to spend alot of time these past couple of weeks getting to know my Bird family a little more. Which is really good for me, since I didn't get to do much while I was little (no one impaticular's fault). They are just a little different than what I am use too. I grew up with my mom and was just raised a different way. So change is weird to me, but it's good. I was glad to get to spend some time with them. I love them and wish nothing but the best for all of them.

The best part about this past couple of weekends is that Trent and I got to spend more time together. I love him more than anything else in the entire world. I feel our love grow more and more when we get to spend quality time together. We grow together more as a couple and look forward to the day when we can be in the temple and be sealed together for time and all eternity.

I hope you all have a great week! I'll post pictures as soon as I learn how too...
