My Birthday

I had a birthday this month... UGH! lol... I turned 28 on September 15th. I had an assortment of birthday parties. My friends took me out to a club in Vernal called XS. It was a lot of fun. I danced my butt off! And then on Monday, my family had birthday party for me. We had a little BBQ in the pouring rain. lol My gramps bbq'd in the garage and then we ate inside. My mom made a yummy cake. It is a angel food cake with cool whip and chopped up heath bar topping. I love it! My favorite cake is this bundt cake with coconut filling, but they don't make it anymore, so I have to settle for something else. It's all good though! I loved everything about my family birthday party meal! I got some amazing presents, including clothes, games, movie, and a new watch. Thanks family!

Then my friends gave me another birthday party. Felicia and Courtney came to my house before we left for dinner with everyone else to give me my presents. I had a pretty good sized box, a smaller package, and an envelope. According to instructions, I had to open the box first. Well inside there was shredded newspaper and a ton of it! There was also a large rock at the bottom. Then there was this small package wrapped in tape. Like packaging tape! I had to unwrap it and upwrap it for like 10 minutes. Finally when I got it open I saw the most surprising gift! They got me an ipod!!! Then the smaller package was some earplugs and then in the envelope there was a itunes gift card. I love my ipod! I use it every day! I also got some other amazing gifts from my other friends.
I am so blessed to be surrounded by amazingly wonderful people. I am greatful for my family and everything that they bless me with and never giving up on me. Always showing me that they love me. I love having a close family and doing lots of things together. I love the support that we all give each other even for the small things. Thank you family and friends for everything and giving me a great birthday!

Happy Birthday Andrew & Olivia... Backtracking yet again... Sorry :(

Okay... so... my nephew, my neice and my sisters birthday are all in August. Megan and Ben happened to come to Duchesne for the fair, so they decided to have a joint birthday party for the kids. And for those of you who know my sister at all... you must know by now that when she throws a party of ANY kind, she goes all out! She doesn't do anything the easy way. So if you want a party planned and done to the "T", just ask Megan, she is an amazing little party planner! We had two different kinds of cupcakes.

Oh... but that's not all folks... oh no... she made thank you handouts for everyone. But these are not just paper thank you's... these are what she called cupcake pops. They were amazingly good and after we got the concept down it went rather smooth.

They were delicious! Megan thought that they would be fun... and Andrew helped and it ended up being fun spending some time together. Ben's family made it to the BBQ that we had. Andrew turned 3 and Olivia turned 1... it is amazing to me how time flies and how grown up these two are. I love them with all my heart and I hope that they had a great day. Megan, you did an amazing job and it was a ton of fun! Here are a few pics from the party.

CJ Farewell... Backtracking a bit...

August was a busy month! And I am sooo sorry that I didn't get a chance to blog. Life happens much too quickly and I forget about updating every once in awhile. I use to be really good and now i just, well... suck! The first of August, my cousin CJ had his farewell! He has of course now been in the MTC for a month, but alas... I still write about his farewell. For those of you who don't know of who haven't read my previous blogs, he is going to Bulgaria Sofia. And he is super excited and loves every minute of the process. He said that he is exhausted from all the doctorine they jam into your brain all in one day, but he loves it and is excited to go out and teach. Here are a few pictures from his farewell. He is a GREAT missionary already!
CJ giving his bro Chad all the brotherly advice that he can...
My whole family made it for the farewell, so we got the last picture of all of us together that we will take for 2 years.
Me and my GJ! aka CJ
His mom, Susie, had a rough time letting her son go...
The day he left for the MTC.

7 Years!!! Already?

On September 7, 2002, Trent D. Clegg and Melanie D. Park were married. It was a short ceremony with close friends and family. When we were married we thought that life was going to be wonderful and happy and the honeymoon stage was never going to end. Wow... we were wrong! It ended all too soon... however, we worked through some really tough times. And here we are 7 years later and planning on making it a whole bunch of years more. We had a great anniversary. We had planned on going to Francis Days, but alot happened and it was a mess. But we ended up going to Heber and ate dinner and headed home. It was a good day all in all. When we got home, we were looking here on my laptop (which is where I put all of my pictures lately) and we couldn't find one picture of the two of us together. So we had a little photoshoot. Trent at first was not very impressed with this idea, but towards the end... he let loose and had alot of fun. He even took the camera and did some of the shots. By the end we were both laughing our heads off at the ridiculous pictures that we were taking. I had alot of fun.

I know that he probably won't read this, but I want him to know how very greatful I am for him. I am greatful for the good person that he is, his willingness to go and help my family whenever they ask, his ability to play trucks with my nephew and my cousins and just be a kid, for the father that he will be one day... but mostly for standing by me through everything. He is truly my best friend and I know that we will still have our ups and downs, but I love him more today than I did 7 years ago. Here is to many more years to come! I hope that we accomplish all of the things that we have set out to do.
